Rainforest Musical Festival

Img_3840 Its my  first night out to one of da(unfortunately only one) nights of da wild rainforest musical festival. I’d go to all da other nights fow sure but had to take the next flight to K.L da next day DaMnNNn! Anywayz, finally i gots da chance to be ere at one of da biggest musical event of da year, da one dat everyone’s been talkin about. I’ve been wanted to be to da fest fow years now, but since i havent been back in town lately, i havent got da chance to. Anywayz, i was lucky enough to be accompanied by two of my other musica’ enthuZiasts buddies maman n jaliee.Img_3738

So here’s how it all goes, basically da real deal concert starts at night and thats where da party goes wild with all da music, drums, people dancin, drunk chiqs, hot chiqs, and lotsa others. If you’re really into dat kinda atmosphere, you really should be at da rainforest. Anywayz, before all da night fun, the whole event starts of with some workshops goin on around the Cultural Village. Its like they have some three different performance in which they call a workshop in three different venues every one or two hours. So what you do is just pick da kinda music you love and go for da venue. Img_3703 The workshop is more of to a smaller venue either its the main audi or one of the traditional houses. In these workshops its like they have performers from two different countries jam saperately, introduce the type of music and instruments that dey play and lastlye (here’s da best part) dey jam 2gether. Kinda kewl eyh. But da da perfromance all short short la, but layan man. Like i said, its more of a smaller venue and a smaller crowd. You’ll feel closer to da musicians and music itself.

After all da workshops done, you’ll just have to wait till 7:30pm and dats when all da party starts. If you really wanna feel da whole rainforest down to your heart, you really should join in da crowd rather than just sittin at da back. Or than again, if you’re just into da music and not much of a social kinda person, just bring along a ‘tikar rotan’ or a foldable seat and enjoy the music away from the crowd. Seriously da show’s nothin like what i expect it to be. The festival has perfromances by people from all over around da world. In this season of football, its not only da ball dat unites us all, its also da music and da beautiful forest of sarawak. Really man, it’s really a party in da jungle. Img_3809 Performers from Austria, Korea, France, Scotland, Mali, Latin America, previously even from the U.S, Australia and lots moe. Accordin to my festival guide maman and jali, second night’s always da best and da wildest. Sayang i only got to check out da first, but fow sure im gonna check out da second and finale night next year. Da last night is where they have all da performers jam together. GILA KEWL WEAAYY¬!!!! Anywayz, enjoy da pics dat i took, and im gonna touch more on Music on da upcomin Jazz Festival thats around da corner. It should be sumwhere around da corner probably next month, of coz at mount kiara.
