My Village Restaurant
Another hot spot to take ur friends for a dinner or supper would have to be da latest My Village Restaurant located sumhwere in Kampung Boyan, just the opposite of Kuching’s very own Khatulistiwa Restaurant of Waterfront. It’s not much of a big space though, not too many tables. Friends of 5 would be the most, but things can be arranged if there’s even 10 or more of ya. Da kewl thing bout da "not too many seats" is dat you can really enjoy da river view environment with less people seating or staring at you. So, if you’re bored eating at Waterfront, check this place out. The moment you enter Kampung Boyan from its entrance you’ll surely be amazed by Kuching City’s building at night, just glowing by the river bank, and as you drive through, you’ll see at the far end the greenish and yellowish glowing vernacular, sort of like an old wooden house at the end by da roundabout. Da food, i’d say its one of those places to explore sarawak dishes. The prices are slightly expensive though. Let say a normal Mee Goreng would cost you maybe RM 3/-, here it would alteast …let say RM4 or sumthin like dat. Haiya nvm lar, just a ringgit higher than normal price. Atleast its not as mahal as da ones at Waterfront. So if you’re in town, you should definately try it out sumtimes.
