Finest Kuew Tiau

Tuesday, November 15th, 2005

MeeEveryone has their own taste or opinion in choosing delicious food. Well, as for me. The finest Kuew Tiau (did i spell dat one correct) in Kuching Town would have to be at John’s, located behind Harbor View hotel. Slightly hidden behind the buildings. Most of the locals would recognize it as Kapal Pecah or Kapal Karam. Where they got that name i dont know. Maybe long long time ago there was a kapal burried in the bottom of the sungai sarawak. Then again, the sungai is on the other side, how did it get karam on the other…I dont know, who gives a damn. Anywayz, for now its on our top 10 list hot spots in kuching. That’s another category. Anyways, the kuew tiau her is kinda hot and stuff. Not wet, dried together mixed with kerang bakar and its only rm3.50 with kerang, 2.50 without kerang. You can also ask for a rm 5 plate, rm 6 or how many you sanggup makan. Its up to you. Trust me, i get most of the comments about the kuew tiau ere from customers. The shop opens till 2am. But you better hurry, make sure you get there before midnight coz kuaw tiau always finish after midnight. So after you’re done with a long hour movie at Star or just finished futsal at the Sports Planet. Come stop by the Kapal Karam some time and check out the Kuew Tiau.

Exorcism of Emily Rose

Sunday, November 13th, 2005

Wallpaper2_800_2Call me chickhen or what ever, horror movies has never been my favorites, especially Hollywoods. Usually, thais, japanese or any asian ghost films would produce the best horrific scences in cinema but this one changed it all. Exorcism do exist, and so it is told in this based on a true story of Emily Rose. In this film, there is no ghost but an unseen deamon, or deamons!? The freaky part about good horror film is that when it realates with true events b’coz you cant say "it’s just a movie, this didnt really happened". Instead, you’ll be saying "true story, geeesh, what if ….waaarrgghh".Stuff like dat.

Anyways, the story works in flash backs when Father Richard More was on trial and how witnesses told everything about Emily. Its a battle between faith and science in the court room. If you really go through the scenes and understand the movie flow, you’ll feel the terror and the same time feel bad for poor Emily Rose. So check it out yourself, and see if your clock stops at 3 in the morning. ehehehe

England Won!?

Saturday, November 12th, 2005

Michaelowenceleb_mr_e_3 Even though a friendly match, but it sure wasnt that much of a friendly when England faces Argentina, a giant in the World Cup competitons. Supprisingly, i never thought England woul’ve made it in the first place. With this win, there’s a good news and a bad news. The good news is, it seemed that Englands performance tonight was way better compared to their show down with Portugal last Euro. Maybe this time they could take it a little bit further into the World Cup competition stage. The bad news is, Svan stays. Maybe he was lucky enough that the match took place in Geneva. Other comments, im not a fan of Chelsea, so i never got the chance to see Joe Cole in action. But his step overs helped him formed tonights match that he assisted Owen’s equalizer. Beckham was good at his shoots on target, but he really needs help with his short passes, but hoorray for the captain. He’s long balls were always da best. Im an England fan, so most of my comments are on England. But to be honest, i would have go for Argentina tonight, the possesed the game. Too bad England managed to took advatage over their 2-1 relief. So the match ended with a 3-2 win for the English. Owen has still got it.

Dragon Squad

Saturday, November 12th, 2005

3715355_main  If you’re looking for a cop movie mixed with gangsterism, you’d really go for Hong Kong or chinese films rather than Hollywood or Hindi Movies b’cos these people really gots the action going into real stuff. In Dragon Squad, it’s really the clash of all asian stars combined. Straight from the chinese main land, Korea and the States. Most of the veteran casts plays the role of the terrorists and most of the good guys are kids. They’re suppose to be top class students just graduated assigned for this mission. It’s really cool if your into kung fu gun fights, but most of the scenes involes gun fights rather than physical kungfu fightings. Samo Hung however did most of the physical action. Here you’ll see sharp shooter vs sharp shooter, sniper vs sniper, head cop vs head terrorists. If you’re not that into violence like cutting ears off, or choping off heads, you’d might want to consider watching it on the big screen where it’s cesored. If not, then wait for the DVD and whatch how Samo Hung slice the evil Korean bad guy’s hands off. Too bad the hot chick died first, ops! You guys are suppose to find out yourself. So for Dragon Squad, i’ll give 8 out of 10 stars compared to the slow and dull Salon. I wont be commenting on that one though, i’ve heard many critics against it. Malay movies are all just the same boring and dull. Even indonesian’s doing way better. So if you just got to the cinema and see Salon playing in half an hour, I’d suggest that you wait for the 10:45pm show, Dragon Squad. Its more worthit. Xinsrc_5120202240908546935113_2

A bug in Old Trafford

Saturday, November 12th, 2005

Fletcher_lg275 Dont get me wrong when i said Bug. Remember United’s win against Chelsea last weekend. It sure was something to the blues when their 40 matches unbeaten run was turned down by the Devils.(previous victims, Arsenal). It seemed that the blues might just did somethin naughty, at Old Trafford where a some sort of a recording transimiter was found in the United’s dressing room. 2 hours of conversation were recroded. This means that who ever put that bug in, might just heard the teams tactics, or what so ever private conversation there is. But even if Morinho’s boys did it, they lost anyway. So whats the point. Or maybe Fletcher’s goal wasnt expected anyways, that he didnt follow the boss’s orders and scored. The blues didnt heard bout dat one through the radio. It’s just a silly comment. Then again, im not really fond of Fletcher, but i’d have to say his performance that night was amazing. We won! Thanx Darren.
